The Visual Basic API Viewer provides a convenient way to peruse

and copy Function, Sub, Constant and Type declarations for use

when programming for Windows 95. The freeware version provides

syntax for 16bit, 32bit and MultiMedia structures in one easy to

use facility.

VISUAL BASIC 4.0 IS REQUIRED TO RUN THIS PACKAGE

================================================

TO INSTALL: ->Simply locate the APIVIEW.EXE file along with the

included data files (*.cta) in the same directory. Then run

APIVIEW.EXE.

TO OPERATE: ->Load one of the data files by selecting an entry

in the Select API Set combo box.

Expand the appropriate ComboBox for any of the API structures,

then scroll to, and click the desired structure. Full syntax of

the structure will be shown in the Scratchpad area. You may

stack up additional structures in the Scratchpad. You may

Rollback structures at will as long as you dont edit the

ScratchPad.

Buttons are provided for Copying or Appending the contents of the

Scratchpad to the system ClipBoard for subsequent pasting into

your code. Alternatively, you can cut/copy and paste directly

into and out of the Scratchpad area.

The Visual Basic API Viewer is a freeware application that

assists Visual Basic programmers to locate and better utilize

Function, Sub, Constant and Type declarations.

Data Files:

All elements of the system should be kept in a single directory

of the users choice. Programmers are fairly picky as to how

their applications are invoked. You can create a shortcut to

APIVIEW.EXE, place it in the TaskBar (Program Manager) or

whatever.

Data Files:

Three data files have been generated to be used with the VB API

Viewer:

16BitAPI.cta - 16 bit Windows API

32BWNAPI.cta - 32 Bit Windows API

32BMMAPI.cta - 32 Bit MultiMedia Only API
